The programme allows for the acquisition of co-financing for projects aimed at the construction or modernisation of power grids to connect new wind energy sources. GIS Part 4 was amended and approved last year. The fundamental changes pertain to the decrease in the minimum total cost of a project to PLN 8 million (as opposed to PLN 50 million in the previous version of the programme), the increase in the maximum co-financing level to 40% of eligible costs (from 20% in the previous version) and the inclusion of wind farm investors or the list of beneficiaries.
During the first competition the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management received 2 applications for co-financing in the form of a subsidy. The competition was eventually invalidated and works on amendment of its principles were commended. PWEA was among the organisations to file their remarks to GIS Part 4.
The amended GIS Part 4 is available here .
