"Zagorze" Wind Park

In 1999 in EPA Company the idea to create a Wind Turbine Farm in Zagórze was born. During the following three years administrative and research procedures required for the realization of the investment were finished.

By changing the local land development plan, defining construction and land development rules, acquiring the building permit, the technical conditions for connection, concluding the Power Purchase Agreement and performing wind measurements a project of the biggest Polish wind farm was made.

Today, Zagórze Wind Farm is being constructed. Infrastructure, turbine foundations and power grid connecting the farm with the GPZ Rec³aw substation is complete. A new turbine is erected every two days.

The investment will be completed at the beginning of 2003 when permission for operation will be acquired. The Farm will be composed of 15 Vestas V80 - 2 MW turbines. The site is located near the Zagórze village, southeast from the Wolin Island. Annual production is estimated at over 70000 MWh.
